- Invoice details for your clients and vendors
- Tax return figures you file with us
- Payment references from processed transactions
Why We Collect It
We collect this data solely to provide our tax filing and financial management services — calculating your tax obligations, generating invoices and tax returns, and helping you track your income and expenses.
Third Parties We Share Data With
We use the following service providers to operate TaxEase NG:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Paystack — payment processing (we never store your card details)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Sentry — error tracking, only after you accept cookies
- Upstash — rate limiting to keep the service secure and available
Data Retention
Financial records are retained for a minimum of 6 years, as required by FIRS (Federal Inland Revenue Service) regulations. Account data is deleted on request, subject to this retention obligation.
Your Rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to our retention obligations above)
- Request a portable export of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
Breach Notification
In the event of a confirmed data breach, we will notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) within 72 hours and affected users within 7 working days.
